Partners can now set up alarm email notifications for IT Expert customers.
Log in to EcoStruxure IT Expert for Partners.
On the Customers tab, find the customer you want to set up alarm emails for.
Click Actions and then click Set up alarm email.
You can send alarm notifications for critical and warning alarms to multiple email addresses separated by a semicolon ( ; ).
You can send email to individuals or to a system that supports mail forwarding rules. The system could then send email based on the location the alarm is coming from, for example.
Choose to receive emails for only critical alarms, for both critical and warning alarms, or never.
Alarm emails can be sent in Original format with graphics, usually preferred for human readers, or as Simple plain text.
Plain text is more easily understood by ticketing systems.
To test the email setup, trigger an alarm on a monitored device. If the email doesn't arrive, verify that the alarm email didn't get caught in a spam filter.
If an email alarm storm occurs, the number of emails sent may be limited to protect the system.
