Improved device hierarchy
December 2018
The device hierarchy was improved to give you more flexibility to organize monitored devices the way that best represents your environment.
You can now choose from six location types in a logical hierarchy: Group > Site > Building > Room > Row > Rack.
A street address is now optional on Sites, and can be added to any location type.
You can use the new location types to modify your existing device hierarchy in the IT Expert web interface, and view it in the EcoStruxure IT app.
Tip: The Location field only accepts street addresses from the list shown. Use the name field to add meaningful details for each location type.
URL change
April 2018
The URL for the EcoStruxure IT manage app (formerly StruxureOn) is now https://app.ecostruxureit.com/manage.
Updated authentication
March 2018
The EcoStruxure IT/StruxureOn authentication system was updated to improve security.
SMS is no longer recommended as the most secure authenticator. You must now choose a 2-factor authentication method. This improves security and improves the experience in areas where SMS codes have been unreliable due to bad cellular reception.
To set up authentication, log in and choose a 2-factor authentication method: EcoStruxure IT app (recommended), Google or another authenticator, or SMS.
See Updated authentication method for details and screenshots.
