You can use IT Expert to monitor your APC EcoStruxure-Ready Smart-UPS using its SmartConnect port or using a Network Management Card (NMC).
Note: You must be logged in to EcoStruxure IT as an Administrator to add your EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS to your organization.
If you connected the Smart-UPS to the EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS Portal, you must remove it before you register the Smart-UPS with EcoStruxure IT. |
Connect to EcoStruxure IT using the SmartConnect port

Set up the EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS and connect it to your network using the SmartConnect port.

Go to https://app.ecostruxureit.com/manage and log in to your existing account.
Note: If you are new to EcoStruxure IT, click Sign up to create an EcoStruxure IT account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to download the EcoStruxure IT mobile app.
Choose SMS as the authentication method to get a code on your phone to proceed.
Do not download the EcoStruxure IT Gateway. -
Go to Inventory > Actions > Register using SmartConnect.

Enter the ID and Product key from the label of the Smart-UPS.
Tip: You can use the EcoStruxure IT mobile app to scan the QR code on the UPS label.Click Register.
It can take up to five minutes for sensor values to appear.
Device data from EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS connected via SmartConnect port is pushed to EcoStruxure IT every 5 minutes. Alarms are pushed as soon as they occur.
The EcoStruxure IT Expert Device Security assessment and the firmware update and device configuration features require a Network Management Card. These features are not available for EcoStruxure Ready Smart-UPS connected via SmartConnect port.

Connect to EcoStruxure IT using a Network Management Card (NMC)
If the Smart-UPS connects to your network using a Network Management Card (NMC), you discover it in the EcoStruxure IT Gateway using SNMPv1 or SNMPv3.
Do not use the SmartConnect port to connect to EcoStruxure IT if the UPS uses an NMC.
